  1. What drew you to the specific themes of identity and mental health in your book? The strength to fight against all odds and understand that success is never out of reach if you truly, passionately pursue it. Most characters in my novel are pursuing success relentlessly. Mukta, Prem and their four daughters are all fighting against many odds, including a lack of money and opportunities. Why are they doing this? Because success in its varied forms gives individuals their identities. When facing setbacks, perhaps related to age and personal and professional loss, it pays to be armed with persistence. We persevere to succeed because somewhere deep down, that is how we identify ourselves. I’m a big fan of these things: introspection, individuality, independence, self-growth, facing challenges and overcoming obstacles, etc. Perhaps that drew me to this theme.   1. What inspired you to write this book and explore the themes of self-discovery and personal growth? I do not think the book explores the said themes. On the part of inspiration – I was actively searching for ideas during the lockdown period and when I found the core idea – which was very exciting to me – I started right away. 2. Can you share a memorable moment or experience that influenced the creation of this story? The idea itself came to me as a nightmare. A nightmare that woke me up in a bit of panic. It stayed with me even after I had calmed down. Trying to sleep again, I slowly mulled over it and I saw how good an idea it would be to do this as a book.
